Banking Module
The Banking Module in QoBooks provides comprehensive management of multi-currency bank accounts, transactions, and financial reconciliation.
Overview
The Banking Module allows you to:
- Manage multiple bank accounts across different currencies
- Track all bank transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers)
- Reconcile bank statements with system records
- Manage cash flow and liquidity
- Generate banking reports and analytics
Bank Accounts
Creating a Bank Account

Navigate to Banking
- Go to Financial Management > Banking
- Click "Add Bank Account"

Account Details
- Account Name: Descriptive name for the account
- Account Number: Bank account number
- Bank Name: Name of the financial institution
- Branch: Bank branch location
- Account Type: Checking, Savings, or Current

Currency Configuration
- Currency: Select from configured currencies
- Exchange Rate: Current exchange rate (auto-updated or manual)
- Locale: Regional formatting for amounts

Account Settings
- Default Account: Mark as default for transactions
- Active Status: Enable/disable account
- Opening Balance: Initial account balance
- Balance Date: Date of opening balance

Save Account
- Click "Save" to create the account
- Account appears in banking dashboard

Multi-Currency Support
QoBooks supports bank accounts in multiple currencies:
- Base Currency: Organization's primary currency
- Foreign Currency: Accounts in other currencies
- Auto-Conversion: Automatic conversion at current rates
- Manual Conversion: Override exchange rates when needed
- Revaluation: Periodic currency revaluation for reporting

Recording a Deposit
- Navigate to Banking > Deposits
- Click "New Deposit"
- Select source account
- Enter deposit amount
- Select deposit type:
- Cash deposit
- Check deposit
- Electronic transfer
- Customer payment
- Add reference/description

- Save deposit

- Cash: Physical cash deposited at bank
- Check: Check deposits with check number
- Electronic: Wire transfers, ACH, online transfers
- Customer: Payments received from customers
Withdrawals
Recording a Withdrawal
- Navigate to Banking > Withdrawals
- Click "New Withdrawal"
- Select destination account
- Enter withdrawal amount
- Select withdrawal type:
- Cash withdrawal
- Check payment
- Electronic transfer
- Supplier payment
- Add reference/description
- Attach supporting documents
- Save withdrawal

- Cash: Physical cash withdrawn
- Check: Check issued to payee
- Electronic: Wire transfers, ACH, online payments
- Supplier: Payments to suppliers
Transfers
Internal Transfers
Transfer funds between your bank accounts:
- Navigate to Banking > Transfers
- Click "New Transfer"
- Select source account
- Select destination account
- Enter transfer amount
- Set transfer date
- Add reference/description
- Save transfer
External Transfers
Transfer funds to external accounts:
- Navigate to Banking > Transfers
- Click "New External Transfer"
- Select source account
- Enter recipient bank details
- Enter transfer amount
- Select transfer method (SWIFT, ACH, etc.)
- Add reference/description
- Save transfer
Bank Reconciliation
Reconciliation Process
Reconcile your bank statements with QoBooks records:

- Go to Financial Management > Reconciliation
- Select bank account to reconcile

- Statement date
- Statement opening balance
- Statement closing balance

Editing Transactions
- Unreconciled Only: Can edit unreconciled transactions
- Reconciled: Cannot edit reconciled transactions
- Void: Void transactions instead of deleting
- Audit Trail: All changes are logged
Voiding Transactions
To void a transaction:
- Open transaction details
- Click "Void Transaction"
- Enter void reason
- Confirm void
- Transaction marked as voided
- Cannot be unvoided
