Organize your catalog for better reporting and navigation.
Interface Overview

Business Overview
Categories help you group related items together (e.g., "Electronics", "Consulting Services", "Beverages"). This is essential for structured reporting and faster searching.
Actions
Creating a Category
- Go to Inventory > Categories.
- Click Add Category.
- Name: Provide a title.
- Parent: (Optional) Select a parent category to create a hierarchy (e.g., "Laptops" child of "Computers").
- Click Save.
Managing Hierarchy
- You can move categories around at any time by editing their parent affiliation.
Updating & Deleting
- Edit: Change the name or parent category.
- Delete: Only possible if the category is not currently linked to any items. Move items to a different category first.
[!TIP] POS Navigation: If you use our Point of Sale (POS) system, categories will determine how buttons are grouped on the touchscreen.
